Respiratory System - Its Diseases and Early Diagnosis
The early diagnosis of the disease related to that of the lungs is equally important. The lungs are important organs of the body which are considered to be doing the main actions of the entire process of reparation and the utilization of the inhaled oxygen. It is also said to be an organ of excretion. The early diagnosis of the diseased condition of the lung and its immediate treatment at least stops the chances of the condition of the patient from deteriorating. The regular check ups of the functioning of the lungs is mainly done through a stethoscope and also through the measurement of the lung volumes through an instrument called the Spiro meter and the process called as Spirometry.
The stethoscope readings of the entire respiratory tracts gives a clear indication regarding the sounds of the respirations that are produced in two main areas that are the bronchial breath sound over the region of the trachea, and then the vesicular breath sound over the infra axillary area. These breadth sounds when normal has a different diagnosis and when abnormal the diagnosis is also different. The abnormal breadth sounds are of mainly two types that are the ronchi and the crepitition. These form a majority of the respiratory troubles and cause the respiratory distress syndrome.
Then there are also many other respiratory disease which needs to be diagnosed early in order to start treatment as the lack of treatment may prove to be injurious to health. These include the Hypoxia, Asphyxia, Caisson’s disease, cyanosis, aphasia, and much more related disease. Then the lung volumes which give the indications of the vital capacity, inspiratory reserve volumes, expiratory reserve volume, tidal volume, dead space air both anatomical and physiological are to be considered for the early diagnosis of any type of a problem which may be related to the respiratory tract mainly the lungs.
